The daughter of Kidd Kraddick, the popular radio host who died suddenly a few months ago, is taking up the reins Wednesday to carrying on his work.
Each year the Kidd Kraddick in the Morning Show and Kidd's Kids foundation sends sick kids and their families on an all-expense paid trip to Walt Disney World in Orlando. Kraddick was actually at a golf tournament raising money for the charity when he passed away in July.
Kraddick's daughter Caroline Cradick will host Kidd's Kids Day this year. She will be live on the morning radio show to help raise money while sharing stories from families who have gone on the dream vacation in the past.
"I'm so excited to be playing an official role in Kidd's Kids Day for the very first time, which I think would make my Dad really proud," she said.
"We've been through a really painful few months since Kidd was taken from us, but we couldn't be more excited about this year's Kidd's Kids Day," said Kellie Rasberry, co-host of Kidd Kraddick in the Morning. "It's always been my favorite show of the year, and this time will undoubtedly be more emotional than ever. But I have a feeling that our incredible listeners are going to come through like never before for the kids, and in tribute to Kidd."
Donations can be made online at www.kiddskids.com or by calling 1-88-792-5439 before 1 p.m. Donations can also be made at any Raising Cane's restaurant.
This year's Disney trip is scheduled for Nov. 21-25.
