Dallas city leaders hit the streets on bikes today in hopes more people will follow their example.
The Bike to City Hall event supports the city's efforts to improve bicycling across the city.
"Just get out and do it. There's not time better than right now. It's nice and cool out, the weather's perfect. You can even wear a suit and not break a sweat out here. Beautiful morning to be riding to work," said District 1 Councilmember Scott Griggs.
Cyclists rode from Main Street Garden to City Hall.
The City of Dallas has added 136 miles of bike facilities in recent years, including 125 miles of off-road bike network paths. The city has also added shared lane markings on city streets in recent years.
