It's been a year since Klyde Warren Park opened, bridging uptown and downtown Dallas.
The park was built over Woodall Rodgers Freeway. In its first year it has been visited by nearly 1 million people, held more than 900 programs and hosted 50 special events.
In addition to the year-round activities, the park includes a performance pavilion, restaurant, shaded walking paths, a dog park, a children's park, lawn, water features and an area for games.
Four days of festivities beginning Thursday will mark the anniversary. For more details and a schedule, visit www.klydewarrenpark.org.
