One person out of the 80 students and staff tested at Irving
MacArthur High School for tuberculosis after one student came back with a
Officials with Dallas County Health and Human Services said
the positive test does not mean a person has the disease, only that they have
been exposed to TB at some point in their life.
That one person will now get a chest x-ray so doctors can
make a better diagnosis.
The original child with TB has not been back to class.
Last month in an unrelated case, a student at nearby Nimitz
High School contracted the disease.
