Police: Shots fired at Atlanta officers

Atlanta police arrested a man accused of shooting at two officers on Wednesday.

Investigators said two officers heard a gunshot near Sampson Street and turned around and saw a man hiding in the bushes near an apartment complex.

Officer said the man fired several more times and fled.

Authorities were able to detain the man, who was identified as 27-year-old Derrick Lamar Byron. He faces numerous charges including possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, use of a firearm by a convicted felon during a crime, aggravated assault and reckless conduct.

No one was injured.
