Surveillance video could help Garland PD find hit-&-run driver

GARLAND, Texas -

Garland police hope surveillance video will help them capture the hit-and-run driver who killed Dennis Hall, 47.

He was riding his motorcycle Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of Jupiter Road and Miller Park Drive about a block from where he works when he was struck.

Police arrived just after 3:00 p.m. and found Hall lying in the road. He was taken to Medical Center of Plano where he later died from his injuries.

"I don't understand how he could just leave him lying there and that hurt everybody. No one understands that," said Hall's girlfriend Angela Frey.

Witnesses say Hall was traveling east on Miller Park when he got to the intersection with a green light at Jupiter Road. A vehicle, described as a 1998-2003 Lincoln Town Car with either white or silver pearl colored paint, was traveling south on Jupiter Road and ran a red light, hitting Hall.

Police say the vehicle has dark tinted windows and damage to the front center portion of the vehicle.

Surveillance video shows the Lincoln Town Car leaving the road at some point to cut through a parking lot.

The car was caught on another surveillance tape cutting through a convenience store at Jupiter and Miller Road.

Hall's boss helped police gather the video to help police with the investigation.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact them.
