Three more teens arrested in Plano Whataburger brawl

Posted: Updated:

Three more teenagers were arrested Wednesday in connection with a massive brawl at a Whataburger on Friday night after the Plano West-Plano football game.

A total of five people have now been arrested for the fight, which happened at a Whataburger in the 6400 block of Coit Road.

Two of the new arrests were juvenile males, ages 15 and 16. The other is Daishon Gooden, 17. All three face riot participation charges.

Plano police said the investigation continues and more arrests are possible.

Video posted online showed students in a large circle fighting with each other at the fast food restaurant.

Students on Friday gathered in the parking lot after the game and at some point a large number of them moved inside, which is where the fight occurred. A Whataburger employee who attempted to break up the fight wound up caught in the middle.

Willem Walls and Jacob Hanzl, both 17, were arrested earlier this week by police and face charges for assaulting a public servant and evading arrest.
