Police say a woman fell asleep behind the wheel and ended up smashed into the side of a brick house Saturday morning.

According to a spokesperson with the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office, the woman fell asleep behind the week while driving down Woodstock Road sometime after 9 a.m. Saturday. Her vehicle then veered off the road, drove through several yards, crashed through a wooden fence before slamming into the home in 5400 block.

Deputies say no one lived in the house at the time of the incident.

Officials say she suffered only minor injuries.

No word if she will be charged for the incident.

The name of the driver has not yet been released.
