A NYPD plan intended to better connect with the community seems to have backfired a bit. The police department asked its twitter followers to share pictures of themselves with New York City police officers using the hashtag "myNYPD." Move over Axe and Old Spice, there's a new deodorant that's making a sizzle at your local convenience store.

It's called Power Bacon deodorant and yes, the deodorant's fragrance is meat and grease.

Created by J&D's Foods in Seattle, the smell of bacon under your armpit is now reality -- but is that a good thing or bad thing for men who are looking to impress women?

Here's what some consumers had to say about the product:

"I would date someone who wears it..I don't know. Would you wear it?"
"I wouldn't wear it."
"If you want to smell like a salted meat, I guess it's a good thing to have."
"I prefer more of the Calvin Klein or the other colognes."

The inventor of the Power Bacon deodorant, Dave Lefkow, says "It's for anybody who wants to smell delicious."

J&D's Foods is also the creator Baconnaise and Bacon Salt.
