Police searching for missing Bedford man

Posted: Updated:
BEDFORD, Texas -

A Bedford man with Asperger Syndrome has been missing for three days and police need help finding him.

Luis Araud, who goes by Luigi, didn't come home after walking his dogs Saturday afternoon near his home in the 2500 block of Cottonwood Lane.

His stepfather believes someone convinced him to leave, but investigators think he left on his own because he had gotten into an argument with his parents.

Irving police officers spotted him around 2 p.m. Monday in the area of Belt Line Road and Highway 114. However, they did not know he had been reported missing.

Police said Araud would not identify himself and ran into a field after speaking with an officer. He is still missing.

Araud is described as a 28-year-old white male who is about 6 feet tall with black hair and brown eyes. He is believed to be wearing a large black, red and white parka.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Bedford Police Department at 817-952-2127.
