Posted: Updated:

Police are looking for the man who chased a young girl after she got off the bus near her home in Hurst.

According to the Hurst Police Department, it happened last week near the bus stop at Hurstview and Springhill drives.

A 12-year-old girl said she saw a man in a black SUV following her home on Thursday. Then on Friday the same man was waiting for her when she got off the bus, police said.

The girl told police the man got out of his vehicle and chased her until she got to her house. Then he ran away.

Police described the suspect as a Hispanic male who is 40 to 50 years old, around 5 feet 5 inches tall and between 160 to 180 pounds. He is clean shaven, has a shaved head on the sides and wore black clothing.

His vehicle is described as a black SUV with a truck bed, possibly a Chevrolet Avalanche or Cadillac Escalade.

A similar case in North Richland Hills was reported on Halloween.

An 8-year-old girl told police a white man in a black SUV opened his door and asked her to get inside. He was last seen driving in the 9200 block of Meandering Way.

In that case, police described the suspect as a white or Hispanic male who is 20 to 30 years old and clean shaven with short, light brown hair. He drives a black SUV or minivan.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call police.
