Nobody hurt in North Texas tanker cars derailment

Posted: Updated:

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) - No injuries have been reported after several tanker cars derailed in a North Texas accident that knocked out electricity to hundreds of people.

Dallas-based utility Oncor on Friday reported about 550 customers in Arlington without power after the accident that took down some utility poles.

The Arlington Fire Department says nothing leaked from the tanker cars that derailed Thursday night in an industrial area.

Further details weren't immediately available on the operator of the tanker cars or the cargo.
