The American Red Cross is helping in the recovery effort after a tornado outbreak killed six people and injured dozens.
Red Cross worker set up ten shelters across Illinois and Indiana for families impacted by the storms.
People who haven't been able to make contact with their loved ones in the damaged areas can go to www.redcross.org/safeandwell to check the Red Cross registry.
Support hasn't been requested from volunteers or Red Cross workers in the Dalls-Fort Worth area. However, Red Cross leaders said local teams will deploy if needed.
According to the Red Cross, the best way to help the families affected is to make a monetary donation. You can do so by texting REDCROSS to 90999 to give $10. Or, go to www.redcross.org to make a contribution in a different amount.
