Study: What Families Play During Car Trips

PHILADELPHIA -

I spy with my little eye, something that begins with an I!

Turns out, most parents are turning to their iPads when it comes to distracting kids during long trips.

According to a poll by a European Motor Panel, almost one in three parents say that they used to play "I Spy" in the car when they were kids.

Now, less than 15% of parents try to play the game with their kids; instead, they opt to hand their kid a smart phone or video game.

The study stressed that it's important to keep children entertained any way you can. According to their research, drivers are 12 times more likely to be distracted by their children than by talking on a cell phone.

The study surveyed 23,450 motorists in the UK.
