Reporter challenges Baldwin to charity boxing match

Posted: Updated:
NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) - NY Post reporter Kevin Fasick is one of a string of journalists who have had recent run-ins with actor Alec Baldwin.

Fasick says he asked Baldwin outside his apartment building in Manhattan for comment on Friday in the conviction of the woman accused of stalking him. Baldwin then allegedly made anti-gay remarks to Fasick and shoved him, twice.

"He shoved me into a car and he shoved me into a garbage truck," said Fasick.

During the confrontation, Fasick claims Baldwin slapped his cell phone out of his hand and called him "a fat, middle aged man." Fasick fired back with "and what about you?"

Fasick says he is not looking to capitalize on his confrontation with Baldwin who "clearly wanted to fight me."

Fasick says he wants to face him in the boxing ring.

"I'm not trying to get your money. Let's do a charity boxing match for GLAAD (Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation)," said Fasick.

Baldwin's camp allegedly responded to Fasick's request saying they were not willing to "collaborate with the NY Post."

Last week, Baldwin threatened two FOX 5 reporters who were outside his home trying to get comment on the conviction of Baldwin's accused stalker.

Baldwin's new weekly MSNBC talk show was suspended for two episodes after the actor was videotaped using an anti-gay epithet.
