DALLAS (AP) - Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo donned a red apron to help serve early Thanksgiving meals at a Salvation Army center in Dallas.

Romo joined several teammates, including DeMarcus Ware and Jason Witten, at the holiday meal celebration on Tuesday. Some players brought their wives and children to help serve food to the needy.

Other Cowboys were on hand at a Salvation Army center in Fort Worth to dish out mashed potatoes, turkey and dressing.

The Cowboys host Oakland on Thanksgiving Day. Pop star and Texas native Selena Gomez will perform at halftime to help kick off the Salvation Army's Red Kettle Campaign.
