Drivers with outstanding tolls to be banned from roadways

Posted: Updated:
DALLAS -

Drivers who have not paid outstanding tolls, or who are ignoring bills from the North Texas Tollway Authority, will be banned from those roadways starting in January until they pay up.

Habitual violators are people with 100 or more unpaid tolls.

According to state law, the NTTA must send a letter to let them know they have been banned from area toll roads.

The first time they're caught driving on a toll road, they could get a ticket and pay a fine.

The second time, their vehicles could be impounded.
