First Kidd's Kids trip since Kraddick's death departs Dallas

Posted: Updated:

Kidd's Kids, the charity started by radio host Kidd Kraddick, lives on despite his sudden death in July.

More than 50 deserving families with kids with special medical needs are off to Disney World for the 22nd annual trip. The families departed from Dallas Love Field on Thursday morning.

Kraddick's radio family – Big Al Mack, Kellie Rasberry and Psycho Shanon – were on hand along with Kraddick's daughter, Caroline.

"My dad's not here and that is definitely not fun, but we have to keep it going for the children because it just has to go on," said Caroline Cradick.

Southwest Airlines donated a plane to send the families and a medical team also travels to help out. The kids and parents will have five days of fun in Florida before returning home.

"There's no words to explain. We would never be able to go over there by ourselves," said parent Emma Villa.

Kraddick passed away from a heart condition in July.
