The man who was shot in an aggravated robbery after the 2012 St. Patrick's Day Parade in Dallas has died.

Ryan Lusk's family said he passed away Tuesday morning from complications related to the attack.

Police said Anthony Hill and Horace Jones were on a crime spree on March 18, 2012. They kidnapped a woman in her apartment, drove her to several ATMs for money and then robbed Lusk as he and his friends were leaving the festivities on Lower Greenville.

The shooting left Lusk in a wheelchair, permanently paralyzed from the waist down. He had been struggling physically and emotionally, his family said.

In June Hill pleaded guilty to aggravated assault, aggravated kidnapping and aggravated robbery. He was sentenced to 45 years in prison.

Jones also pleaded guilty and was scheduled to be sentenced next month. The charges against him will now be upgraded to capital murder.
