Grosse Pointe Park police officers are accused of demeaning and humiliating a man on video, who may be mentally challenged. The man, seen on the video, is told to sing and make animal noises.

A source tells Fox 2's Alexis Wiley that one Grosse Pointe Park officer has admitted to making one of the videos.
UPDATE: Grosse Pointe Park spokesperson Greg Bowens confirmed to Fox 2 later Friday night that one Grosse Pointe Park police officer has been taken off patrol duty pending the outcome of the investigation, and that the department hopes the investigation will be wrapped up in the coming week.

Steve Neavling, the man who broke this story on www.motorcitymuckraker.com, says other unseen videos exist that show more of the same type of behavior. Thursday night on Let It Rip, Bowens asked Neavling to turn those videos over to the police department so the investigation can move forward.  Part of the investigation is to determine how many officers are involved. Also during Let It Rip Bowens offered an apology to Michael Scipio, the man seen in the videos.

"The people responsible for this video, and for the circumstances surrounding this video, will be disciplined accordingly," Bowens told Wiley on Friday. "If there's anybody out there who has a video of anybody being mistreated in this fashion, that's not already posted out there, or just has it, we want them to contact the police chief."
