Dallas authorities searching for suspect in alleged child assault

Authorities with the Dallas Police Department Child Exploitation Unit are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect they say is involved in an alleged child assault.

They say the offense happened Nov. 17 in the 13700 block of Montfort Drive between 1 and 3 p.m. The suspect is accused of luring a child away from his apartment, then assaulting him.

The suspect is said to be a heavyset Hispanic or white man in his late 20s, about 5-foot-10. He has a tattoo of a sword or dagger on the top of his left or right hand.

Anyone with information on the offense is asked to contact child exploitation Detective C. Ramirez at 214-671-4217.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment for this offense, or any other felony offense.
