Investigation continues into fatal police shooting

The investigation is continuing today into a fatal police shooting Friday night in north Fort Worth.

Police Capt. Charles Ramirez says the Tarrant County Task Force was attempting to serve a warrant in the 4000 block of Tulip Tree Drive when the shooting happened. Sources say the suspect pointed a weapon at the officers and was shot.

Ramirez says a Euless officer, assigned to the Task Force, fired one shot that hit the suspect in the chest.  The suspect died at the scene. Ramirez says no officers were injured in the confrontation. At least two people were reportedly arrested at the house following the shooting incident.

The name of the dead man has not yet been released.
