Snow flurries continue through rush hour commute

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

Snow flurries are expected to continue through the evening rush hour commute Monday.

The snow system will continue moving through the Chicago area for the next one to three hours, with less than an inch accumulating, National Weather Service meteorologist Casey Sullivan said. Winds are expected out of the southwest between 15-25 miles per hour.

The snow has already ended in the far north suburbs, with DeKalb county accumulating a half-inch of snow, Sullivan said.

Dry conditions are expected through most of Tuesday with a chance of snow flurries to hit the northwest suburbs until the late evening, Sullivan said.
