Great Pyrenees found safe after jump from moving truck

Posted: Updated:
ROSWELL, Ga. -

A Great Pyrenees has been found weeks after his disappearance. Dozens of people searched for the dog, named Beethoven, after he jumped out of the back of a moving truck in Douglas County in October.

Cyndi Blaine of Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta, who fostered Beethoven for a few months, feared the worst after the dog leapt out of the truck as he was being transported to his new home.

"They were going down I-20 and somehow he got out the window on I-20 and we had people searching from that night," Blaine said.

Blaine and Beethoven were reunited two weeks later when a humane trap caught the dog.

"It made me cry, it made me cry just knowing he was safe," Blaine said.

Sara Stark adopted Beethoven into her Roswell home after the search. She was one of the people who searched for Beethoven.

Blaine said that while it was for her to let Beethoven go, it was warmed her heart to see him with a loving family.
