Police: Woman found I-75 died of natural causes

Posted: Updated:

MCDONOUGH, Ga. (AP) - Henry County police say a woman whose body was found lying in a wooded area near Interstate 75 over the weekend didn't freeze to death, but died of natural causes.

Sgt. Joey Smith told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution (http://bit.ly/1aZ5ooN ) that Robin Lynn Hubbard's death was not related to below freezing temperatures over the weekend.

Authorities have said Hubbard's body was found in an area where homeless people are known to sleep. After finding her, police weren't immediately sure of whether the woman's death was linked to a medical condition or near-freezing temperatures.

Smith didn't elaborate on the medical condition that led to Hubbard's death.
