$1 million winning lottery ticket sold in Bloomingdale

BLOOMINGDALE, Ill. (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

A $1 million winning lottery ticket was sold in northwest suburban Bloomingdale for Tuesday night's Mega Millions drawing.

The winner bought the Quick Pick ticket at Meijer, 130 S. Gary Ave. in Bloomingdale, and matched the first five winning numbers — 27 – 44 – 59 – 74 – 75 – (03), according to a release from the Illinois Lottery.

The ticket is the first winning Match 5 sold in Illinois since the game was announced last month, the release said.

The store will receive a $10,000 bonus, one percent of the prize amount.
