Arlington PD: Raiders fans attack Cowboys fan post-game

Posted: Updated:

Arlington police believe a group of Oakland Raiders fans assaulted a Dallas Cowboys fan near AT&T Stadium after Thursday's football game.

Arlington police said they responded to call after Dallas' 31-24 win over Oakland that a man was being assaulted by a group of four men.

Police said the victim was wearing a Cowboys jersey and it is "believed that the assailants were wearing Raiders clothing."

Police were unable to identify any of the assailants and couldn't find any witnesses to the incident. Police said they are working to find a motive for the attack, but they need more information.

The victim of the assault was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.

A Cowboys spokesman said the team is aware of the incident and working with Arlington police to gather more information.
