GLENDALE, Ariz. -

Police have identified a woman who was killed standing on the corner of 67th Ave and Glendale Ave on Saturday afternoon.

Glendale Police say a woman in her 60s, Dorothy Cochran, was killed in yesterday's collision.  According to police, a white van was heading northbound on 67th Ave and turned in front of a Glendale Police car driving southbound. Police say the force of the collision caused the van to go onto the sidewalk on the southwest corner of the intersection, hitting a woman and a man.

After being hit by the van, the woman was thrown into a nearby parking lot, where she was hit by another car. The woman was taken to the hospital but did not survive. The man who was hit is in the hospital with life threatening injuries.

The driver of the van and Officer Cody Howard with Glendale Police were also taken the hospital. Glendale police say the officer has non-life threatening injuries, while the driver of the van is in serious condition.

Police say the officer was responding to a call for service, but there is no indication that the response was with lights and sirens. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
