McKINNEY, Texas -

The Marine Corps Reserve's Annual Toys for Tots campaign is underway. Several North Texans are doing something different to help give back to the community.

Olivia Reagor celebrated her 6th birthday later this year because her uncle passed away recently.

"He was a very giving individual so what we decided to do was host her birthday today but ask everyone to bring toys for the Toys for Tots program, said Olivia's mom Angelique Reagor.

Olivia gave every single gift she received at her party to Toys for Tots.

"They have no toys so we have to give them some toys," said Olivia.

A teacher at Olivia's school said a lot of the students put a lot of thought into what kind of gifts to give.

The Ahnemann family of McKinney has put on a popular Christmas lights display for seven years and also takes toy donations for Toys for Tots.

That's where Olivia dropped off some of her birthday presents so other children can have a better Christmas.

"I think it's absolutely amazing. I mean it really just shows that people still have the spirit of giving," said Kenneth Ahnemann.

Drop boxes are available at the Ahnemann's fabulous Christmas lights display in the 7800 block of White Stallion Trail in McKinney. Tune to 92.7 FM to listen to music that is choreographed to the lights on the home.
