2 in custody after Grand Prairie police chase

Posted: Updated:

Two people who robbed a woman at gunpoint in Grand Prairie eventually led police on a car chase through Dallas.

The woman who was robbed after walking outside of Kroger in Grand Prairie was able to get the suspect's license plate number. The pursuit ended shortly after an officer lost control and hit a fence on South Ewing Avenue near Morrell Avenue in East Oak Cliff.

The officer made it out unscathed and police say they were able to recover the woman's purse and the suspects gun after they threw both items out during the chase.

Both armed robbery suspects are in custody in Grand Prairie jail.
