Ft. Worth man arrested for allegedly setting neighbor's home on fire

Posted: Updated:

Ft. Worth police arrested a man for allegedly setting his neighbor's house on fire Tuesday morning.

Police believe the suspect threw a flammable substance through the window of a house in the 3400 block of Nies Street, igniting the fire.

Officials say they have arrested 33-year-old Roberto Gonzalez. He's charged with arson of a habitation.

There was a man and woman inside of the house at the time, but both were able to get out safely.

"They heard a window break, woke them up," said Donald Clark, Ft. Worth Fire Department. "The fire, when it started, was poof, it lights all at once, like gasoline."
