About 40,000 customers are still without
power in North Texas. Oncor says 30,000 new outages occurred Saturday because
of tree limbs falling on power lines.
Oncor has more than 4,000 people working
to restore power across the Metroplex.
Some of those people haven't had power
since Friday morning.
Crews were out in full force Saturday,
some coming all the way from Florida, to helo.
Oncor has also been using a helicopter to
locate downed power lines, since the ice is making travel tricky.
"We've got very treacherous conditions," Says Oncor spokesman Kris
Spears. "It's obviously very icy it has not gone above freezing and so
that ice isn't going anywhere. So that makes travel pretty tricky for us."
