Ferndale mother pleads for answers in deadly hit and run

DETROIT, Mich. (WJBK) -

One minute, Beverly Yono of Ferndale was talking to her son, the next, he was hit and killed on a Detroit street. David Louis, 32, was a father of two. His family is pleading for information to solve this case.

Louis was hit and killed at Woodward and West McNichols on his way to visit a friend. His mother rushed out to find him laying in the street. She says he reached for her but his injuries were so severe he could not be saved.

Beverly believes her son may have been hit by more than one vehicle. No one stopped to report hitting David. The family is also asking for donations to help with funeral costs. A fund is being set up at PNC Bank. If you have any information, call Detroit police.
