A Dallas Police officer shot a suspect Monday night, and other suspects are on the run, according to a spokesperson for the Dallas Police Department.
Officers spotted a vehicle that was reported stolen after a carjacking. As the officers observed the vehicle, multiple suspects got inside of it, and additional officers were called.
One of the suspects began to drive the vehicle and sped off before he or she could be stopped. The suspects eventually came to a stop and then got out in the 3600 block of St. Augustine Road.
One of the officers engaged one of the suspects, which resulted in the officer firing their weapon at that person.
The suspect was taken to Baylor Hospital and remains in critical condition, while the other suspects remain at large.
