The cost of battling nature is adding up for local governments.
An early estimate put the cost to Fort Worth taxpayers at more than $200,000.
Much of that is the price for having city street workers put in long hours and pour more than four million pounds of sand and de-icing chemicals on the roads.
The estimate does not include cleanup or repairs to roads.
That's next on the city's agenda.
