Dallas to vote on farmer's market improvements

Posted: Updated:

The Dallas city council is expected to vote Tuesday on a plan to give $15 million in tax breaks to a developer to fix up the farmer's market.

It calls for apartments, restaurants and an entertainment district to be built along with a renovation of the current sheds on the site.

The farmer's market has been a money-loser for the city for years and was recently sold to a developer.

The overall cost of the project is $64 million.

If approved, construction on the renovations would begin next month.
