He has gone around the world, dressed in a pink tutu, all to make his wife laugh and raise funds for breast cancer research and treatment. Bob Carey is a New York based photographer, and he's been using his professional photography skills and his unique sense of humor to help the Carey Foundation, a nonprofit that covers women's breast cancer related costs.

Bob's wife Linda was diagnosed with breast cancer about 10 years ago. The cancer recurred in 2006. Bob saw the strength of his wife through her fight with the disease.

"I've been in awe of her power, her beauty, and her spirit. Oddly enough, her cancer has taught us that life is good, dealing with it can be hard, and sometimes the very best thing—no, the only thing—we can do to face another day is to laugh at ourselves, and share a laugh with others," Bob writes in the Tutu Project.

Bob and wife Linda have also published a book entitled Ballerina that compiles a collection of funny and odd photographs of him in a tutu. The net proceeds from the sale go directly to nonprofit's like The Carey Foundation. Bob's Facebook page has gotten more than 74,000 likes, and he has also been featured all around the world.

You can see more photos here. A little bit of offbeat humor and a lot of courage has brought a lot of donations and a new sense of purpose for Bob and his wife Linda.
