Dallas Police seek suspects in connection to shooting death at nightclub

Authorities with the Dallas Police Department are asking for the public's help in getting information on a recent shooting death.

Jose Orta-Sanchez, 41, was shot and killed at the Smith Drive Inn at 5315 Second Avenue on Dec. 4 at around 11:30 p.m.

Officers responded to a call about a shooting, and upon arriving, they came across Sanchez in the parking lot with a gunshot wound.

A witness saw three men, pictured, fighting with the victim before one of the men allegedly pulled out a gun and shot Sanchez. The suspects fled in a red four-door 2000's model Ford Focus.

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call Detective Layton at 214-283-4823 or the Dallas Police Homicide Unit at 214-671-3661.

A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information called into Crime Stoppers leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
