DALLAS -

Police are investigating a possible murder-suicide in the Red Bird area of Dallas.

Officers were called to a home in the 400 block of Goldwood Drive around 1 a.m. Friday.

According to police reports, 49-year-old Reginald Brewer was shot once in the chest.

The police report states he shot and killed 22-year-old Charles Green moments earlier.

Neighbors said they are shocked by what happened.

"I wish the family well. I'm saddened for the losses that occurred and the tragic way it happened. It's just real sad," said Ruthie Blackmon, a neighbor.

Police said investigators are still interviewing witnesses and trying to determine if Brewer shot himself.

They've classified the case as family violence, but have not released information about how the two men are connected.

About a month ago police responded to another call for help at the same home.

In that domestic violence case a woman who lives at the home told police she was repeatedly punched in the face by a man.
