More than a hundred Wounded Warriors made a trip to Dallas on Saturday, enjoying a weekend of relaxation as a special thank you for their service.
It was a whirlwind day for the Wounded Warriors on Saturday; they left the Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio and arrived in Dallas to a water cannon tribute at DFW Airport in the afternoon.
Then they were taken by charter bus to Abacus Restaurant in Dallas for dinner. After dinner, they were taken to the American Airlines Center where they sat court side to watch the Mavericks play the Milwaukee Bucks.
"It's a real blessing," says U.S. Navy Veteran Ryan Holcomb. "You know, you're away from loved ones and during the Christmas season and you're spending it with fellow soldiers, Marines and Airmen. It's a really good time."
When they arrived at the American Airlines Center, they received a standing ovation from fans in the arena as they took their seats.
