Suspects arrested for Dallas motel murder caught on video

Posted: Updated:
DALLAS -

Police have arrested three men seen on video shooting a man outside a Dallas motel.

Investigators said the suspects got into a fight with the victim, 31-year-old Jose Sanchez, at the Smith Drive Inn on Dec. 4. They shot him in front of a surveillance camera.

According to an arrest warrant, police were able to track them down because their getaway driver, 28-year-old Juan Pineda, had given one of the Smith Drive Inn's employees his cellphone number.

Pineda admitted to his involvement and told police how to find the two other suspects, 32-year-old Pedro Rios-Aguilar and 29-year-old Angel Rodriguez-Padilla, the warrant said.

Police said Rios-Aguilar admitted he pointed the gun at the victim and Rodriguez-Padilla admitted he took the gun and pulled the trigger, the warrant said.

All three men are now charged with murder.
