Police Arrest Woman For Theft of Tip Money

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. -

Rehoboth Beach Police have arrested woman for theft of tip money at a Five Guys restaurant.

The incident happened at around 3pm on December 13. Officers say they were advised that a completed a job application at the restaurant then removed $15.00 from two separate jars at the location prior to leaving.

Police have identified the woman as 44-year-old Melissa L. Brittingham. The woman was charged with theft under $1500 and was released on a $500 unsecured bond.

Brittingham was placed on probation for one year and is ordered to pay $500 fine and court costs.
