Broken Arlington water line causing problems for drivers

Posted: Updated:
ARLINGTON, Texas -

A broken water line in Arlington is causing a nightmare for drivers on the city's west side.

Utility workers are still working to repair the line along West Green Oaks Boulevard, just south of Arkansas Lane.

The leak was reported Friday and before it was taken out of service workers estimated 5,000 gallons of water had already leaked.

They believe the ice storm caused the pipe to crack.

Since repairs have begun, the ground shifted and appears to have compromised the pavement.
