People in Brock are rallying to support a family devastated by a fatal fire that killed one and injured others.
Flames swept through a mobile home in the town 45 miles west of Fort Worth and destroyed it before dawn on Monday.
Parker County investigators said a 47-year old man was killed in the fire. Six others, including four children, managed to escape the burning home.
Neighbors said a local church is working to help the family with clothes and necessities and the Red Cross is assisting with food and temporary shelter.
"It's incredibly sad and discouraging something like this happens so close to Christmas. It's just heart wrenching but what can you say things happen," said neighbor Brian Wilson.
Parker County officials said the family was using a heat lamp underneath their mobile home to try and keep the pipes from freezing, which is believed to have caused the fire.
