Police investigate Christmas break-ins at 3 Detroit fast food restaurants

DETROIT (AP) - Police are investigating Christmas morning break-ins at three Detroit fast food restaurants.

Detroit police say a burglary was discovered about 10:40 a.m. Wednesday at a McDonalds on West Seven Mile Road. A glass front door was broken and a safe was pried open.

That followed a report at 9:10 a.m. of a breaking and entering at a Burger King on West McNichols. A glass side door was busted out and cash was taken from a safe behind a counter.

The first burglary was about 6:30 a.m. Wednesday at a McDonalds on Gratiot on Detroit's eastside.

Officers found a side window broken out, but nothing taken from inside the restaurant.
