Courageous Daughter Saves Family During Home Invasion

Posted: Updated:
LOWER GWYNEDD, Pa. -

Victim: "I saw four black men dressed in all black.  Wearing black gloves, black masks.  The whole outfit was black.  And 3 of them were holding guns towards me."

This 21-year old victim doesn't want to be identified.  She says late last night she and her family were bound with duct tape in their home on Sloan Way and terrorized by four thugs demanding cash.

Victim: "They asked me, where are your parents?  We don't want to hurt you.  I just played dumb and kept speaking in Korean as if I didn't know English. They left me alone but they tied me with duct tape."

During the entire ordeal she says guns were in her face.  She says she now realizes that her actions may have saved her life and the lives of her parents.

Victim: "I was in my room.  I had no idea what was happening with my parents at the time.  As soon as they left, I ripped off the duct tape and pulled out my phone."

But she says the suspects heard her speaking to a 9-1-1 operator and returned to her room, angry, and with guns drawn.

Victim: ""I kept looking at the guy pointing the gun in my face and the guy on my left slammed the end of his gun on my head. I pretended to be unconscious because I was afraid they would try to kill me."

She shows us the five staples that closed the one inch gash from the brutal assault. She says she doesn't know how or why she acted so courageously.

Victim: "I was really scared.  I thought I was gonna die at any moment."
