MESQUITE -

Mesquite Police are investigating a wrong-way crash that happened early Wednesday morning that may have been alcohol-related.

Around 2 a.m., police responded to a crash at I-30 and Northwest Drive, where a car crashed into an HOV zipper truck building.

That's when a fire started, and the driver was thrown from the car.

The driver was taken to the hospital by helicopter with serious injuries.

The car was destroyed and the building suffered major damage, but no other cars were involved.
