Sunday Night: Thunderstorms, some severe. Heavy Rain.

Monday: Windy and less humid, partly sunny with a chance of showers.

Thunderstorms are expected to move back in this evening, some of which may be severe.  The biggest concerns will be high winds, heavy rain, and some small hail is possible.  Rain moves offshore by early morning but there is still a chance for a few showers or a thunderstorm Monday.

Monday is a transitional day with sunshine, a few showers and very gusty winds.  This will usher in some cooler air and Monday night temperatures fall back into the 50s for most.

As a snowstorm takes aim at Philadelphia, the city's streets department says it will have 320 trucks out on the roads by Friday morning.

Roads have been pre-treated, and once 2 to 3 inches of snow are on the ground the plowing will begin.

If you have to go out tonight, the road crews ask that you give plenty of space between your vehicle and the plow truck.

Friday trash pickup has been suspended until next week.

Chief Highway Engineer Steve Lorenz shared more details during a news conference Thursday afternoon, which you can watch in the video above.

DelDOT says its been working to get one step ahead of the storm as well. It says roads are being pre-treated. It has 65,000 tons of salt at 20 locations throughout the state. And there are nearly 450 vehicles available to help with snow removal.

But officials urge everyone to stay indoors unless getting out is absolutely necessary.
