Glendale Police are investigating a fatal crash involving a pedestrian near 75th Avenue and Glendale.
At 8 p.m. Thursday, authorities responded to a call in regards to a male that was found lying in the roadway.
Glendale Police Sgt. Jay O'Neill stated, "Initial investigation has revealed that the pedestrian, who appears to be a male approximately in his 50s, was struck by a vehicle that then left the scene. The person reporting this incident was not a witness and no witnesses have come forward as of yet, so we have no suspect vehicle description."
Authorities believe that the vehicle that struck him was traveling eastbound on Glendale Ave. based on where the victim was found.
Police later said the driver of the vehicle returned to the scene.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene and police haven't determined his identity.
Glendale Avenue will remain closed in both directions from 73rd to 75th Avenues during the investigation.
