Police arrested a man after they say he holed up inside a home in Fort Worth for five hours.
Police say it started this afternoon after the man shot another man, then ran to a house on Ross Street at Northwest 23rd Street. Police say there were people the man knew inside the house, and that they left shortly after he arrived.
Police say the man, whose name was not immediately released, stayed inside the house until tear gas was fired. A short time later, the man came out of the house and was arrested.
The shooting victim, whose name was also not immediately released, was taken to a hospital in serious condition.
At one point, a small fire started either by the man or the tear gas was put out. No one else was hurt.
The man is being charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
